Summit Imaging Achieves ISO 13485:2003 and ISO 9001:2008 Certifications

New certifications recognize company processes to ensure quality and pursue continuous improvement.

Summit Imaging, the technology-focused ultrasound medical equipment support company, has received ISO 13485:2003 and ISO 9001:2008 certifications from The National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) for its repair and support services of ultrasound medical equipment. To earn the certifications, Summit underwent an extensive development and implementation process of the Quality Management System (QMS), culminating in a multi-day certification audit by NSAI. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is the world's largest developer and publisher of international standards for the implementation of QMSs and various other technical and operational procedures. Earning both of these certifications highlights Summit’s commitment to assuring its customers receive the finest in quality and support for their ultrasound repair needs.

The ISO 13485:2003 certification specifies the requirements an organization’s QMS must meet to demonstrate its ability to provide medical devices and related services that consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements. With the ISO 13485:2003 certification, customers can be confident that Summit is dedicated to maintaining the highest level of quality, efficiency and responsiveness to achieve the company’s ultimate goal of superior customer satisfaction. The ISO 13485:2003 certification recognizes that the policies, practices and procedures of Summit ensure consistent quality in the repair and support services provided to clients.

The ISO 9001:2008 certification is presented to an organization with a QMS that aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and regulatory requirements.

“Achieving the ISO 13485:2003 and ISO 9001:2008 certifications became a strategic priority in 2013,” said Alan Dishlip, CFO of Summit Imaging. “It is an important milestone for our company and a testament to all of our employees who value and deeply care about providing quality repair and service. The certifications showcase Summit Imaging’s dedication to achieving the highest possible standard for business processes and further solidify our role as a trusted leader in the field of ultrasound repair and service.”

Summit Imaging provides rapid end-to-end customer support, including hands-on training courses, fast repairs, high quality parts replacement, free 24/7 technical support, the industry’s longest warranty on parts and services and the ability to diagnose most problems over the phone in under seven minutes.
